Is stem cell reserach immoral?

Is it, and is it immoral to cheer for a college that study’s it’s sports teams?
 
my opinion is how you go about it?

You can make anything immoral by doing it wrong…
or by interferring with things… ?

As for stem cell research I have not heard that it is immoral but I might be wrong…

best to get a second opinion on that,…

however whenever you are unsure always approach with caution… which would be my hope for you after this comment! Sorry I couldnt help more… I just wanted to post!

Embryonic stem cell use is immoral and further, the action is intrinsically evil.

It is happening all over the world now. I hope Jesus comes back soon!
 
Embryonic stem cells have not produced one cure and it is evil to destroy an embroy to harvest the stem cells.

Adult stem cells have produced numerous cures throughout the world and it is not evil, as they can be harvest in ways that do not harm the adults. I read where a young child was cured of blindness with stem cell treatments in China.
 
Is it a sin to cheer for colleges like Wisconsin’s sport teams because of this.
 
Two points:

Sports should be only nominally observed at a school that propagates embryonic stem cell research.

While you are there, do some good and join a pro-life group. Work from the inside.
 
Cheering for a football team doesn’t even qualify as remote participation in the evil of stem cell research being carried on at the university. Enjoy the games.

Sort of like saying the pledge of allegance to America while the American federal government supports abortion. Sort of. 😉

And we absolutely have to specify what we mean by “stem cell research”. This is absolutely critical when we engage in biomedical ethics, even around the water cooler:

Embryonic stem cell research necessarily terminates a human life (the embryo’s life) and as such is immoral.

Adult stem cell research does not, and as such is completely moral.

We, as Catholic Christians, have to make it crystal clear that we support ASCR and oppose ESCR and why.

No, but why not cheer for Michigan State? They have a better team and do not participate in Embryonic Stem cell research. Now those sinners down in Ann Arbor are a different story…and their football team is lousy. 😃
 
UW Wisconsin leads the way in stem cell research, the University doesn’t want the research to get sent to Calfornia. The UW recently rejected Catholics useing money to build a help center. When I was in the Gulf War arabs referred to homosexuality as “Bucky-Bucky”. Hence the new movement to create a homosexual dance called the Bucky! Catholics embrace Christians but the UW is predominately Christian ruled. And all Christianity stems from Judaism.

Embryonic stem cell research is immoral (and has had little or no success).

Adult stem cell research is not immoral (and has achieved most success).

Supporting the college team though is not a sin.

What would you do if your parents supported embryonic stem cell research? Would you cut your relationship with them and never talk to them for the rest of your life?
