Is striving for success immoral?

There’s nothing wrong with success, the problem would be misusing people and abusing people for that success.
Precisely! It’s how we go about obtaining and achieving our success, and also how we define success. If we are greedy and ruthless and run roughshod over others to become far more wealthy than we need to be, that’s immoral.

On the other hand, if we do honest, productive work that benefits others, and earn a just wage or salary for that – that’s simple justice. That’s as it should be. If the work proves lucrative and we become wealthy as a result, that in itself isn’t sinful. But if we hoard our wealth, and become stingy and selfish and refuse to help others, or if we use our wealth as a weapon, then it’s a sin.

It’s not being rich that’s a problem – it’s what we do with it and how we behave during the process that determines the morality of it.
