Is suicide always a straight ticket to hell?

A Deacon at my Parish spoke about morals and forming one’s conscience. He also spoke about ‘proportional reasons’ for sin and insinuated that there are times when circumstances might give one a justifiable reason for committing what might me in other circumstances a mortal sin. Is this ever true with suicide? Is suicide always a straight ticket to hell?
