Is Sunday Mass enough for you?

Does Mass, once per week, on Sunday, fulfill you?

It doesn’t me. I wish I could attend daily Mass, but its out of the question with my work schedule.

I love praying during the day and while I’m at home, but I want so much more. I’m so happy this week because of the Assumption vigil and feast day Masses.

On Sundays, I usually go to Mass twice: the NO at my parish and then across town to the TLM. Still, I would love some sort of community prayer service in the evening…is that what’s called vespers?

I’m thinking about trying to organize a weekly “rosary evening” at the church.

I would love for my parish to have an adoration chapel, but that’s not gonna happen any time soon.

What kind of “extra-curricular” activities are in your parish? And I don’t mean Bingo and reverse raffles!
 
Once per week, plus the other designated Holy Days of Obligation, are a minimum necessary to develop a healty Spirtuality.

It is no surprise that you seek more, as Heaven itself is a continual celebration of the Mass.
 
As a SAHM, one lucky privilege is that I am free to attend daily mass. I attend 3 weekday masses - I am too much of a social butterfly to go every day - I would forever be going for coffee with friends after mass if I went daily. I set aside 2 days to really go hard on my housework 🙂

I like to go twice on the weekend - once for myself, to really be absorbed completely in the mass, with no distractions, and once with my children, so I can oversee their behavior, remind them of correct postures, etc.

I would dearly love, some day, to truly be able to attend daily. It makes a very big difference in my life to attend mass as often as possible.
 
I’m having a gap year from school at the moment, so I’ve been able to go to daily Mass for a whole year. It’s been awesome in developing my spritual life, particularly, in the battle for chastity.

I worry that when I have to get back to work, I will miss it too much.

Mass IS Heaven on earth. And to think of all the times in my life when I didn’t truly appreciate it. :crying:
 
I love being able to go to Daily Mass. It seems that when I miss it or on the days when it is offered at a time I can’t go, my day feels incomplete. I recently learned how to pray the Liturgy of the Hours so that helps, and of course my rosary. I’m also going to start reciting the St. Michael chaplet daily. St. Michael has helped me out more than I know probably.
We don’t have perpetual adoration (yet) but they did announce this morning that the Blessed Sacrament Chapel would be open after morning Mass until 9 pm everyday at the urging of our two priests and the pastoral committee. I am so thankful for that. When I’ve had a bad day at work I can just go pray and talk to the Lord.
 
Before i left the church I thought once a week was too much, a case of ignorance of youth. Having returned home, I can’t get enough, and seek to go beyond just going to mass, by loving God in both prayer and in deeds.
 
I agree I wish I could go daily but I enjoy EWTN late at night when I get off work for their replay of their daily Mass. I am thankful for that channel I watch it on the computer. My Cable channel does not carry it but I can get the streaming video on the computer.👍

There is a weekly adoration and the Perpetual Novena and a daily rosary in addition to the daily Masses. I make it to the adoration, try to for the Novena. If I’m not able to attend Mass then at the time of the Mass (7 p.m. - I never get up at 6:00 a.m. 😛 ) I sit and recite the Vespers and read a meditation on the Blessed Sacrament (or something connected like the Eucharistic Heart).
 
I find it helpful if I can make it to Mass at least one other time during the week beyond Sunday. Or, as an alternative or in addition, some other prayer opportunity - be it adoration, rosary, taize, whatever. I need those touchpoints and chances to take a break and rest in God’s prescence in order to maintain sanity.
 
I attend Mass weekly. Do I feel it’s enough? No. But I’m in the same boat as the OP, as my work schedule does not permit me to attend daily Mass. Maybe I should start going on Saturdays, too. Been thinking about it, actually.
 
I attend the Vigil on Saturday at my NO parish (where I am registered) and then Sunday morning I drive acorss town to attend a TLM. It is the best of both worlds.

There are several parishes in the city where I now live. My parish offers daily noon Mass, except Thursday, with the opportunity for confession before Mass. Before daily Mass, the rosary and Angelus are recited.
Sometimes I actually make it to Mass.
A larger nearby parish offers 2 morning Masses daily. The larger parish also has a Marian Movement of Priests in which the entire rosary is recited plus a Charismatic prayer group. I no longer have a vehicle (car accident) so I do not attend that prayer group. I do however take the bus to the closest parish to my own for Monday night intercessory prayer. I always have a ride home.
When I lived in Wisconsin, I actually drove 50miles weekly to participate in a Charismatic prayer group. Monthly I would drive 25 miles for the Charismatic Mass. A trip off a cliff brought that to an end.
Last year I attended a women’s Cursillo. My Cursillo group meets weekly (almost) to check on each other’s spiritual progress.
 
I am fortunate to work within walking distance of our cathedral so I am able to go to daily Mass. I have been going on average two to three times a week.

My parish has awesome Weds nights with an hour of adoration and confession, the rosary, a novena, then Mass. Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to get away from home in the evenings so I rarely attend this. I would love to go every week.
 
There are two parishes that have daily mass to cater for workers. One has mass at 7.15am, and another has a Latin new order mass at 5.15pm. At the moment I can attend my parish daily mass since I’m ill, but I wouldn’t have the opportunity to attend any when I return to work.
 
I have been attending daily Mass for over a year, except for sick time and bad weather. It has increased not only my Faith but my prayer life so much. I hopefully never want to go back to Just attending on Sundays!
 
I started attending daily Mass 3 mornings a week a few years ago during Lent. I couldn’t stop when Lent was over. Now DH’s work schedule affects my ability to attend the morning Mass, but I am there every chance I get. I miss it when I can’t go.

I have to get up at 5 to be able to get to the 6:30 am Mass and to work shortly after 7. If my schedule changed so that I couldn’t go, it would be very hard to live without. I’d probably have to find an evening Mass.

Our parish doesn’t have much in the way of extras.
