As the title says, does the Priest have to take Communion during his own Mass?
Perhaps a situation may arise where the Priest has not yet confessed certain sins that would wound the mystical body of Christ if he did take Communion. Knowing this, he refuses to take Communion as he was unable to meet his confessor. Is this allowable? Or would perfect contrition be sufficient to take Communion as long as the Priest will confess later?
Thank you.
