I’ve been on the net reading about it and most Christian websites seem to make it a bad thing. What is the difference between poverty and the above in the header.

I have my thoughts, I’m just curious what others think as perhaps I’m looking into this friut of the of the mystery wrong?

It’s good to be detached from material things .but always grateful for what we have .
And at the same time in order to help those around us we need to take care of ourselves .(food ,shelter, clothing) Some of my thoughts anyway 🙂

There plenty of well-off folks who bring their children up without indulging them, and make them work for everything. The reason being is that they want their kids to have a good work ethic, and to have them be able to value a dollar. It’s also important not to put to much value onto material things. It’s good to learn to live without them now because you won’t have them after you die. Material things can be a crutch to some people.

Some might think it is a poverty of the spirit as in spiritually lacking, as opposed to the virtue.
