With Rabbi Foxman accusing the Pope of remaining silent about Anti-Semitism.

I was disgusted when he said this. Insulting the Holy Father like that.
But there’s what I read in InsidetheVatican get this:

"In my opinion the media campaign against Radio Maria can be related to the next elections in Poland. Certain circles feel threatened by the political involvement of Radio Maria and for this reason they would like to reduce it to silence. In a few words, it all comes down to shutting down the radio station and silencing those who have different opinions.
There is also another factor: competition in the media market. An important TV station in Poland is about to open a new religious channel and so they are probably trying to get rid of competitors
That is the TV station TVN, which is openly anticlerical and anti-Catholic…
Michalike: It is indeed. Then, if we are to discuss the presence of priests on Radio Maria, we should also discuss their presence on other media, i.e., commercial media. Whether they like it or not, priests using the media deal with social and political problems. They should do so in compliance with evangelical principles and the social doctrine of the Church. They have a great responsibility, as the media spread their words far and wide.
The world media which have long been criticizing Radio Maria saw an opportunity for an open attack on the Redemptorists’ radio station in the publication Tygodnik Powszechny in Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz’s supposed words during the closed-door session of the Polish bishops’ permanent council of August 26. The archbishop of Krakow accused Radio Maria of imposing its own pastoral line and of dividing the Polish Church. As president of the Polish bishops’ conference, do you agree with Cardinal Dziwisz?
Michalik: Though taking into consideration Cardinal Dziwisz’s concerns, I must say that the Polish episcopate has not los control of the pastoral program nowadays. As far as the unity of the Church is concerned, every bishop is expected to make it his main concern, defend it and avoid taking steps which may cause it to deteriorate. It nevertheless grieves me to think that under these circumstances somebody revealed the words pronounced by bishops during closed-door sitting. I do not know who was interested in publishing this text, but this certainly does not help to preserve the unity of the Church. Also, the word of an important Polish prelate do not represent his position or that of the bishops’ conference or permanent council, when qouted out of a given context.

**Michalik: *Such accusations must be taken into serious consideration: nobody must be abused. There is no room for anti-Semitism in the Catholic Church. Yet all accusations must be proved. The attorney’s office confuted these charges and declared that there was no suit. **Also, the recordings which are said to provide evidence against Father Rydzk are of dubious authenticity. So, why should the episcopate raise a question which the attorney’s office has declared to be non-existent. ***
