Is the Anglican Mass recognized by the Roman Catholic Church? My daughter has an assignment to go on Sunday, I told her that she still needs to go to Catholic Mass. Is this right?

Hi,

I assume that this is highschool assignment. Your daughter should be informed that she can be there only as a spectator–not as a worshipper. The Catholic Church does not recongnize the validity of Anglican ordination and therefor of Anglican eucharist.
She does indeed need to attend a Catholic Mass that day.

If this is a highschool assignment, then you need to talk to the teacher. This is a most inappropriate assignment for a Catholic school–if this is what it is supposed to be. I woulb be very warry of what else is taught there.
