True that there are many antichrist’s but there’s also the AntiChrist.
 
“666” is the number of a man…" This is in the Apocalypse. Your summation is confusing, to say the least.

I think you have something there. I was going to respond with “if you want to see the anti christ, look in the mirror”, but figured I’d tick someone off. I know the beast is described with a human number, 666, but something about how sin blinds always makes me think of the human race as a whole. Just as the Lord resides in the hearts of men, is it possible the anti christ will reside in men, not just A man? Tim

Was John of Patmos also John the apostle?

Who is this John who wrote the epistles?

Daniel and the “abomination of desolation” --was this meant to be apocalypse writing too?
Can you explain please?

How strange they were meant to give hope–they always scared the holy heck out of me. Also, I think the Apocalypse is like St Malachy
s writings–they don’t make much sense until after the event has taken place.
 
Confusing ? How? 666 may be the number of the beast but it doesn’t say the anti christ is the beast. the word Antichrist is not mentioned at all in Revelation. The whole book is written in symbols- symbols that christians would understand but the pagans wouldn’t.Christians reading it would be relatively safe from romans.the beasts number- number of a man would be Nero-nero who was the first to persecute Christians whose very name provoked fear.It was feared that his evil would be reborn.In greek and Hebrew names have numbers corresponding to it-it’s like numerology and is called gematria hence 666 = nero.
 
I ma just making a statement here…I heard Scott Hahn speak in Rochester and he said that the Anti-Christ is not said at all in Revelation…it is a fundamentalist hype. And I believe him…🙂

But it does mention the beast. The beast is the AntiChrist.

Rev 13:2 And the beast, which I saw, was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his own strength, and great power.
 
satan does everything God does to the opposite effect. You will see satan incarnate just as God became incarnate and you will see satan try to ascend into heaven as God did, but he cannot and then you will see God, Christ Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven which satan cannot though he will attempt to do everything God has done. God creates so satan creates destruction… God creates the world and everything in it and satan attempts to undo creation which will seem of benefit to man. God died and rises again and created the One True Catholic faith by which all may have life in Him, satan incarnate falls as if wounded (because he is not mortally wounded as Christ was but seems as such) only to seem to relive (for he is an illusion and is the father of lies) and be worshipped (for he will seem devoutly religious) and many are deceived by him, yes even the elect.

But satan cannot destroy the world to rebuild it, this is purely a Divine action and so Jesus comes and clears away all the former to create the new earth and the new heavens. This is why the Word will not pass away though all former things do. Yes there will be satan incarnate, the anit-Christ, but don’t be afraid, hold your heads up high in faith.

Don’t be afraid of that evil old imp, get on with pleasing Jesus and don’t worry or be afraid.

satan is always afoot so stay awake and on guard for your soul, however the anti-Christ will only come when the world is utterly desolate in increasing unrepentant sin that is seen as good and this is just the beginning of the trials and suffering; so enters the world into its passion.

Didn’t Jesus tell the Jews that He (jesus) comes in His father’s name and you (Jews) reject Me. But there is one who will come in his OWN name; him you will accept.

There will be a man the Jews will cling to as the long awaited Messiah; I’ve always believed this is the anti-Christ.

It makes so much sense when you weave Jesus’ words with the expectation of a Messiah by the Jews.

Re: Praying is good but learning how to pray is vital.
Praying is a relationship with God. Praying to other titles and names is not in the bible. Moses was used of God and even Esther was used of God we do not pray to them and there is a reason. First because prayer is a relationship with God. Praying to another name is simply stating to have a relationship with someone other than God. But let’s not take my opinion for it let’s examine the bible together…

Becareful. The elect are those that freely come in and out of pasture, that is primarily the Catholics.

Equally the elect will accept this conterfiet. Becareful that you don’t slur the Jews because it is written that many of them will convert recognising the false Messiah against the Truth.

When the elect are spoken of primarily it means the Catholics and secondarily it means the Jews; those are the elect.

When I say slur the Jews, I say that because primarily it will not be them who accept this anti-Christ. primarily it will be the Catholics, they are primarily the elect and the Jews also are the elect ( they saw and did not believe but when they see the anti Christ many of them will convert knowing the Messiah by what He is not rather than what was before their eyes) and will come into the fold because they are God’s first beloved and will come with more zeal and love of God than those who have come first to the Gospel, hence the first shall be last and the last shall be first and again vice verse for the first were the Jews and the last were the Gentiles and so again, the first shall be last and the last shall be first. So God shows no impartiality and everyone’s cup is full to degrees and degrees again, but if you should have a larger and fuller cup see to it that you note the signs of the times and that you are not deceived; this goes for every age humans live in for every age faces satan, but they need not be afraid, but strive and persevere in the faith in Christ Jesus.

satan will seem as god and many will be deceived and amongst those even the elect, Catholics and Jews; isn’t this true of every age, but it will be more visibly true in the last days.

Where are you getting this from? Is it your own perceptions? Never heard anything like this in my life. Was I missing something all this time?
 
The “elect” are those whose names are written in “The Book of Life.” (also the baptized). These are the followers of Jesus.

It doesn’t get any broader than that.
 
The elect God has given His revelation to, that is Judaism and Catholicism, period. No other has God revealed Himself to in such a way, these are the elect. The fullness of both covenants, old and new.

What is it that you don’t like about what I say? Is it that I tell you not to say anything about the Jews? The Jews are no more open to deception from the devil than the Catholics are. It is the Jews that St Paul writes about that will convert and will convert in great number and this is because they will recognise the Messiah not by what He was as they saw and denied, but they will see Him by what He is not when they see the false Messiah, the anti Christ.

Don’t you say anything about the Jews, only pray for their conversion and pray that you nor I are ever deceived.

You guys have no idea how helpful this has been to my discernment of an event that happened a couple years ago. Answer me this, was Christ the sacrifice for all of mankind? Thanks, Tim
