I get that feeling about the news from all of the liberal media stations like CNN. Fox is just the least liberal. It actually provides some facts unbiased.
I don’t look to one avenue for all my news. I spread the love and usually refer to BBC, Asia Times, Al Jazeera and my local SBS news (the best for balanced reporting) and yes sometimes though not often, even CNN.

I watched the same show…
…But noticed we never got to “see the Ark of the Covenant”.

Fox News is the only place to get the facts.
Well, all the cable/tv etc. channels offers some accurate things. We are partial to MSNBC, CBS, Public television and radio, and occational CNN. C span is interesting. I think all of that information has to be measured against the teachings of the Church, discernment, and, oh yes, common sense. :):)😃

The Ethiopian Orthodox Christians have believed that they possess the Ark of the Covenant for time immemorial. Whether or not you trust the news group, the fact remains that the Ethiopian Orthodox believe that they have it. Of course, whether or not the Ark they have is the original Ark of the Covenant is up for debate. 🙂

T^he whole idea that the Ark of the Covenant is in Ethopia, defies historical fact.
According to its’ Biblical description, the Ark was made of wood and covered in Gold. The last time the Ark was mentioned in the Old Testament is before the sack of Jerusalem by the Babalonians.
In all probability, it was destroyed when the Babalonians sacked Jerusalem, burned the Temple and looted it of all of its gold (ca.587 BC). In all probability, the gold covering the Ark would have been stripped off and the Ark and its contents destroyed.
The Idea that somehow the Ark could have been taken into Africa is simply ridiculous and has no basis in fact.
This story ranks with all of the space alien and DaVinci Code claptrap on the mis-named History Channel.
The biggest waste of money I have ever done was when I became a life member of that channel. What a rip off!!!
The are could not have and has not been distroyed. It will be recoverd one day. I do not know if it at this time is in Ethiopa or not and it matters not if it is. Do not be so quick to dismiss. As for the Babalinians Stripping it down do you not also remember that when Cyrus Released to jewis captives to return to Israel he gave them back all the Temple teasures to take back with them. Since it is not mentionsed as being taken to Babalon it is safe to assume that it was taken into hidding prior to the sack.

“Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed.” ~ John 20:29

Do you believe they have it?
I believe that they believe they have it.

The History Channel is the biggest disappointment because it contradicts its title. It should be called “The Opinion Channel” at best. And anyone who doesn’t like Fox News is a communist and I hope their legs grow together. 😃

The Ethiopians do claim to have the Ark of the Covenant, however they don’t allow outsiders to see it.

Superintendant Chalmers: Good Lord, what is happening in there?

Principal Skinner: The Aurora Borealis?

Superintendant Chalmers: The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?

Principal Skinner: Yes.

Superintendant Chalmers: May I see it?

Principal Skinner: No.

Sounds like you don’t trust Fox news. That’s o.k I feel the same about CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, NY TIMES, AP
I don’t watch any of those channels either. Don’t get them anywhere else in the world unless you want to pay for cable or live in the apparent centre of the world. 😛

I don’t trust the U.S. news sources, they tend to glamorise, overdramatic and the reporters/newswriters add their own opinions to a news story. The only U.S. news channel I do watch religiously is EWTN.

Yes, but I suspect if the CC had the Ark we might never get to see it either. And would you want to see it, particularly since those unworthy to see it suffered an immediate and agonising death.

I thought it was only those who touched it unworthily who died?

Ark of Covenant resting beneath Temple Mount?

With Mideast in turmoil, new evidence Solomon made provisions to hide

One of the persistent theories about the whereabouts of the Ark is that it lay buried in secret tunnels and passageways constructed by King Solomon for the specific purpose of keeping it from enemies who might one day capture and destroy the Temple.

Now there is compelling new evidence that’s just what happened –

and that the Ark still rests beneath the chamber known as the Holy of Holies,

moved there through an elaborate machine constructed under the direction of Solomon long before the invasion of the Babylonians and the sacking of the Temple.

Most of the evidence for this theory of the Ark’s location comes right out of the Bible

– in passages discussed in a two-part video documentary by Michael Rood called

“The Great Secret of Solomon’s Temple and the Hiding of the Ark of the Covenant.”

This three-hour presentation will keep you spellbound with its references to little-studied Bible verses that provide hints of about how the Ark was preserved from the invaders.

No…the Ark is in the mountain as 2 Maccabees describes in post 9.

Not under the temple.

Not in Ethiopa.

Not in anyone’s backyard.

🙂

I try to find the one that has truth as their agenda not their own “truth” they want you to believe. For this you need truth biased journalists, not journalists who aim to change the world to their liking. By their own admission MSM journalists are over 90% liberal and push that view. Fox at least has a few who are not.

Other posters: Where else do you find truth seeking journalists?

The Ark is in Area 51. I think I saw it in a movie once. 😉

Regarding History Channel…they get their facts wrong so often that I can’t personally trust anything they have to say even if they might get something right once in a while. Nonetheless, it is accurate (IMO) to call it “The History Channel” because oftentimes history can be subjective. Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, history is as much an art as it is a science.

No one was allowed to touch it and if they did they would die. Once a year the high priest was allowed to enter into the chamber (the Holy of Holies) in order to sprinkle blood on the Ark for the Day of Atonement. He had bells on his garment and a rope tied to his leg. If he died in the Holy of Holies (no bells ringing), the other priests would pull the rope to drag him out from under the curtain. 🙂
