Yes. It isn’t a withdrawal or abandonment in engaging the world as some have mischaracterised the book. It’s more about being galvanized and rooted to withstand the hellish storms as we reach out to the lost. Christians can’t be swept away by the torrent of values and ideas contrary to faithful Christian teachings in the process of reaching out. Geographical separation isn’t necessary but being immersed in faith, living it, standing firm in it, upholding one another and knowing that as Christians we are called to be in the world but not of it are all necessary.
Politics isn’t going to preserve Christianity in the US nor is appeasing evil and sinful ideas but being faithful Christians will. Again, Christians are called be in the world but not of it.
Some American Christians are still in a state of delusion. The US is NOT a Christian country and not even a culturally Christian one anymore. One has to be blind to think the US still is.
