Is the Catechism more important than the Bible?

Why would an ordained Catholic priest say that the catechism is a book more important to have in the home, than the Bible, that is, the inspired Word of God. In the same church the priest announces that “The Eucharist has Ended” go in peace. Shouldn’t a priest demonstrate a belief in God’s Word by recognizing the “The Liturgy of the Word” as well as “The Liturgy of the Eucharist”, and close the mass with the words, “The Mass has ended”?
