Is the celtic cross acceptable?

I’ve always thought of the Celtic cross as catholic but when I ordered a journel online that had the cross on the front cover it also displayed some occult items I might want. I was very surprised. I tried to look it up but received mixed info. Thanks for any insight you can offer.
