I agree it doesn’t always work out that way. Especially if a woman marries a man who doesn’t even understand his role. If he is an abusive man a woman may have to live apart from him. Marriage involves sacrifice. If the husband is unwilling to sacrifice, he is not being a Christian husband. A couple needs to know and understand what a Christian marriage is and live it. It may take a lot of prayer and sacrifice on the part of one spouse to lead the other into living the role God intends for them. If a couple looks for a fifty fifty relationship they will both fail. Husband and wife’s “job” is to lead each other to eternal salvation as Christ leads His Church. They are One.This o nly works if the husband actually does serve his wife as Christ serves h i s Church. For some women it just doesn’t work out this way.
