Is the church against organ donation?

Hi -

I am going to be a newly confirmed catholic next Easter. I have a question.

I have a friend who is ill, with diabetes to the point that he is now on Dialaysis nearly 6 days of the week. His internal organs are now calcifying. He needs a kidney to help him extend his life, he is in his mid 30’s.

I would like to give him one of my kidneys.

Is the church against this?
