Ill take a shot but Im sure someone smarter will do better. What Christ says is true. His Kingdom is not of this earth. The church is His bride to be(so to speak). We(as the church) are being prepared for the bridegroom(Jesus) for when He returns. His Kingdom will reign after the earth is destroyed. God has plans for this earth and for us and we are in the age of The Church. If you look at the bible from begining to end there are different ages. I believe we are in the last age before Christ returns.The age of The Church. There might be different terminology then ages.
Sorry if I confused you even more. Im sure someone will give you Scripture to explain to you what you want to know.
Christ’s statement is not a statement about the “location” of the Church. Rather it is a statement that God’s Kingdom does not have the same priorities as those of the world, but rather has the priorities of God, along the lines of St. Paul’s “Friendship with the world is enmity with God.” Understood this way, the statement regarding the Church does not contradict Christ’s statement, but rather is complementary…
