A non-Catholic friend of mine insists that the communion wafer (and the wine also) cannot be the literal the body of Christ. He insists that there is no tissue, or DNA, or any other physical evidence that it becomes the body of Christ after it is blessed. But Catholic theology has always said it is the literal body of Christ. What evidence can you provide me so I can prove to my friend that the Church is correct?
Thanks, Dan
