I fear you will not get a patent as the idea is obvious. You might get a design patent, which is fine until the Chinese steal the idea and flood the market with millions of them.

No, it means us English speakers stole a Pagan word and changed its meaning so now it makes you think of Jesus 🙂
As “Day of the Dead” makes me think of All Souls Day. In Spanish language church calendars, what is All Souls Day called?

It doesn’t bother me.
Saint Patrick’s Day and Saint Valentine’s Day are completely not what they should be.

What Saint Patrick is just about beer? Did he even drink beer? He was probably dry. His day isn’t about him it’s about Irish people wanting to drink. The guy wasn’t even from Ireland.

Wasn’t he British, spent time as a slave in Ireland, escaped, was ordained and came back to convert the Irish.

I had read as a child he came from Brittany in France actually. He was kidnapped and sent to Ireland. I found out a lot of scholars have thought he was from Britain, but recently one said he found evidence to the contrary and it was actually Brittany like I had read years ago. They were doing am archaeological dig to settle the question last I heard.

Edited to add, just to make it more confusing, his father was Scottish.

Well there was no France at the time . I believe it was Gaul and I don’t think that’s true. I believe he was born in Roman England. So he was a Roman citizen.

And to add to this, I believe his parents were Roman (Italian) descent and his father was in the military so he would have been 100% Italian. I believe that was the case but not entirely sure
