Is the Eucharist scriptural?

Oh well, I had an affair with Sarfati too, although, I did not argue for transubstantiation (as I am not a Catholic) but I could say that he insulted people like Professor Gerald Joyce, Robert Shapiro, and David Bartel in ways that I found offensive in our little exchange. He also misrepresented that work regarding *in vitro *evolution. It does represent evolution although no one would claim that it is Darwinian evolution by natural selection, but it does have some sembalance to it.

Any comments regarding Sarfati’s comments about the Eucharist?
 
  1. He attempts to judge the heart of another person, which he cannot do, since he is not God.
  2. He has a gnostic worldview. I assume he prefers *spiritually * saying hello and avoiding all the superfluous words and handshaking.
  3. The Mass is a re-presentation of the same sacrifice of Calvary, not another sacrifice. This is how it’s been understood since the beginning of the Church.
 
The quote perpetuates the myth that Catholics re-sacrifice Jesus during the Mass. This is NOT Catholic theology. Catholics believe that the Sacrifice of Calvary is eternally present to the Father, and in the Mass, the Sacrifice becomes present to us temporal creatures.
The quote shows a clear lack of understanding of Catholic teachings about the Mass, and repeats a common anti-Catholic myth.

As for the so-called “clear teaching” that he speaks of, I would reply with my signature. By the way, I only have it as my signature so that I can remember what it is…

As for whether or not Evolution can be reconciled with Christianity, if you are interested in this subject, then you might want to check out this book by Keith Ward.
