I was wondering how you explain to people that we believe Jesus is in the Eucharist when we also believe He is everywhere in everything?

Hi Lynn.

Jesus is present everywhere and in everything–including the bread and wine before it is concecrated. By saying that He is present in His creation is not to say that He IS His creation. Hindus believe that everything is a god. This is called pantheism We dodn’t subscribe to such.

AFTER the bread and wine are concecrated, Jesus is no longer present in them as He is in all creation, they actually become Him! We don’t genuflect to everything that has been created. We do genguflect to the Eucharist because the Eucharist is Him!
This is why call call the Communion in the we have with Him in the Eucharist, Holy.
