Is the group KISS satanic?

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not KISS is satanic. I have heard both ways and wanted to know for sure, but have not been able to find anything that clearly states whether it is or is not. Internet links or information that can be somehow verified would be helpful. Thanks!

I love kiss, they are basically a 70s origin rock band that is pretty tame compared to alot of stuff out there. They are hardly choir boys but NOT satanic. Ever listen to an interview by Paul Stanley, lead singer, very nice chap and intelligent. So is Mr. Gene Simmons.

Well, back when I was a Jehovah’s Witness in the early 1980s, the buzz among JWs was that KISS stood for “Knights In the Service of Satan.”

Of course, we JWs were also DEATHLY afraid
of the little blue SMURFS, too…

Ever listen to an interview by Paul Stanley, lead singer, very nice chap and intelligent. So is Mr. Gene Simmons.

Are you being serious about that or are you pulling our leg? Simmons had a rather notorious interview with Terry Gross, a woman in her middle years who is known for her gentle but persistant questioning on NPR. Simmons has since declined permission for NPR to provide transcripts or audio downloads of the interview, but of course there are unofficial sources.

You can read the transcript faster but you really need to listen to the interview to get the full impact.

What you see is what you get. Personally I think they look like male impersonizations of geisha girls. Maybe that’s why they are so popular with the guys!

I would not say they are satanic, but definately they could lead to debouchary-which we are to avoid.

At various times, they’ve said that the acronym, if acronym it was, stood for “Keep it Simple Stupid.” In a hilarious interview on one of my town’s local radio stations, drummer Peter Criss said that the band’s own inside joke was that KISS actually stood for “[vile epithet for Jewish folks] in Stupid Suits”–all four members happen to be of Hebraic origin.

Me, I just wish that the KISS Army had veteran’s benefits, but no such luck.

I’ve also read an interview (don’t think it was the same one) where Gene Simmons does indeed come across as a mysognistic jerk … hard to tell how much of it may have been an act though.

They are what they are. Kiss definitely will do whatever it takes to make a buck and they are very honest and open about it. They are first and foremost businessmen and know how to cultivate an image, especially Gene.

Paul and Gene are extremely anti-drug.

Gene’s mom is a holocaust survivor which explains some of Gene’s anti-Christian
attitude.

So, they are no more satanic and probably less satanic than your average rock and rollers since they live a clean lifestyle.

It is mostly an act, designed to keep his name from sellting to the bottom. Gene is known as an extremely generous, kind person.

But that don’t pay the bills!

Has no one watched his show on A&E the past several weeks? He comes off as arrogant at times but he is really a very confidant man. But very complex. He is wonderful with his kids. They are very sweet and unlike the Osbornse there was nary a beep on the show. His son Nick is hysterically funny and sooooo cute. His daughter Sophie totally has his number. A lot of the jokes on the show are at his expense.

On his Biography on A&E he was asked about his greatest contribution. He answered “My sperm.” Deadpan. Then he goes on to describe how his children are the most important thing he has done in his life. Not exactly Theology of the Body but reaching for it.
