Is the intersession of the saints biblical and factual?

I understand how it works but in a historical and biblical sense, How is it supported

It’s as simple as asking someone to pray for you. Which is in the scriptures (even Apostles asked others to pray for them). The only difference I see in Catholic and Protestant mentality is the latter don’t believe that heaven is also here and now. That somehow there’s a great chasm between you and the rest of the church.

I would add that it pleases our Lord to grant the saints, especially Mary, miracles that can happen on earth through their intercession. Many people, including me, have witnessed miracles as answers to intercession prayers.
