Is the Johanine comma in 1 Jn 5:7 considered by the Catholic Church as inspired?

How does the Church explain 1 Jn 5:7 as some bible commentaries said it was inserted in the original manuscript? How could we explain this to those opposing to the doctrine of the Blessed Trinity. thank you!
