I have been told many times that the Society of St. Pius X has been excommunicated and that they are in schism. Is there any proof to support what is being said about the Society? I ask because my family and I were recently baptized at a Pius X church and I need to know whether the Mass we attend is valid/ licit.

The links above will give you more information about the status of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX).

From your inquiry, I was unable to determine whether you were saying that you were baptized in and are attending Mass at an SSPX chapel or at a Catholic church that is named for St. Pius X. Not all churches named St. Pius X belong to the Society of St. Pius X. To find out if the church that you attend is in union with Rome, call your local Catholic diocese and ask about its status. If it is recognized by your diocese as a Catholic church, then there is no need to worry about your status in the Church.
