Is the song "Amazing Grace" licit?

This is the first year in 6 years that I have not participated in a small group study lead by seminarians. In one of the more recent years I believe I heard that the song “Amazing Grace” is actually not licit. Is my memory correct? Could I consider the song “Amazing Grace” not in line with Catholic teaching? And if so, should we not be singing it in our parishes? Thanks for your time!
