Is the song "'Mary, Did You Know?'' liturgically incorrect?

A few years ago, we were told that the song "‘Mary, Did You Know?’’ was liturgically incorrect, even though we had been singing it for years during Advent, right before Christmas. Can you give me the reasons why this is liturgically incorrect? Mary is indeed Mother of Christ, but also daughter as well.
 
Mary is not the daughter of Christ. Christ is God the Son and distinct as a person from, but not separate from, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. To be exact, Mary is the daughter of God the Father, Mother of God the Son, and bride of God the Holy Spirit. As for the song “Mary, Did You Know?” please see the link below.
