I am in great need of help and sound spiritually based advice. Please pm me or respond here for pm.

This is boarding on violating the terms of this board as “help” is very ambiguous. Private council is also discouraged.

I’m sorry you’re going through something, but this is not wise. Your pastor is your best source of guidance, not a stranger on the internet. Please reach out to your pastor as soon as you can.

Catholic Answers has a service called “Ask an Apologist” that may be able to help. It is staffed by professional apologist, but they can help with questions regarding faith and morals. Otherwise, it would be best to contact a priest for whatever advice or referral you may need.

Perhaps I should rephrase. A priest or spiritual counselor would be good, but also someone to listen that has a good grounding in faith. I’m level headed enough that I can discern a bit, but
need unbiased perspective.

Yeah, most of the clergy has turned off their PM’s becuase this is an inapproprate use of the system. If it’s not for public consumption you need to seek face to face people.

I’ve heard @discotbot gives sage advice. But I don’t think he’s a counselor.

I would think it’s probably better to go to a priest or professional counselor, but I’ve learned from personal experience that the internet is better than nothing so you have my permission to PM me if you so desire. At your own risk of course and no guarantees, but you know that already :). God bless.

Sage advice indeed

CAF content Rule 11:
Do not offer or solicit medical, psychiatric, or legal advice. Do not give advice that is contrary to civil law. Do not give advice to a minor that opposes the instruction of a parent or legal guardian. All such discussions should be directed to the proper authorities: parents, guardians, therapists, parish priests, or primary care providers.

You can phrase your problem in such a way that your important question may get discussed in the Forum. Remembering that this is the internet with anonymous posters, you can only take the advice with a little grain of salt. Probably that much you can get here.
