Is there a difference between these terms?

I don’t know but I don’t like any of those derogatory labels. No one should be going around name calling whether a person is religious or not religious. It’s impolite and to me it is a reflection on the persons character who’s using those terms. People need to stop acting like children.

A Bible-thumper is a preacher who overdoes the histrionics and mugging, characteristically with a jutting chin, flashing eyes, and ranting delivery. I don’t think the term is necessarily intended to specify a Protestant preacher rather than a Catholic, though there are certainly one or two Protestant churches, such as the Assemblies of God, which seem to positively encourage this affected, melodramatic style of preaching.

Seriously why are you asking?
I think you would do well to simply PRAY with the Bible, and forget “wondering” about such derogatory claims.
