Is there a double standard regarding men and women's sins?

What is the official Catholic position on the traditional double standard between men and women when it comes to sexual immorality?

Should a good Catholic view a woman who commits some sort of sexual impropriety (like adultery) more harshly than the Catholic would a man who did something similar?

For the Catholic Church a mortal sin is a mortal sin regardless of who freely and knowledgeably commits it.
