I saw a copy of the Kenedy book at my parish and browsed quickly through it - it seems like a great source of information for US dioceses. Is there a similar publication for outside the US? I am particularly interested in dioceses in Mexico. I am in Southern California and as part of the Detention Ministry work I help prepare kids for First Communion and Confirmation. A large portion of the population is Hispanic, and I often have to contact the parish where they were baptized to get a copy of the certificate (usually in Mexico or South America). Finding the right telephone number can be tough - even in the age of the internet. Any suggestions?

The Catholic Church Directory for all the archioceses of Mexico is published about every 4 years. It lists all the parishes and contact numbers. It might be worth your while to get in touch with the Mexican Conference of Bishops.

THANK YOU Phemie - I googled that and it led me to their website - and most of the info I need is available right there if I click around enough times. It is all in Spanish but that is my native language so that is ok by me.

Thanks again,
