Is there a Latin or Tridentine mass anywhere near eau Claire wisconsin?

I really think I might prefer it to the OF. I know OF is valid because the Church says it is, but it just doesn’t speak to the soul. I remember the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at the Orthodox Churches I attended briefly and that was “High high Church”. I miss it. I probably just need to focus on Jesus in the Eucharist as He is the point of the service, but can anyone help me on a more traditional mass? Much thanks.
 
I don’t know. Seeing as it’s a college town and likely has a Newman center, I wouldn’t be surprised. I know Platteville has one for sure, but that a bit of a drive 🙂 .
 
At least St. Mary’s in Altoona is in Eau Claire County. Parish website is not accessible. Best thing is to call, as the previous poster suggested. Here is as much info as is posted:

The LaCrosse Diocese actually has eight sites for the EF. Altoona is the closest.

Eau Claire is on the border of LaCrosse and Superior Dioceses; Superior has NO sites.

Long distances are usual for you Texans…you have really straight roads. Eau Claire to LaCrosse could be fun…it used to be real fun during the winter.
 
And with the Monks of Holy Resurrection Monastery coming to Wisconsin you will have the High Church Byzantine Liturgy available and in communion with the See of Rome. 🙂

It indeed has a Newman center, on the UW-Eau Claire campus. Their masses are at 5 pm on Saturday. Platteville’s just WAY too far;)

The monks of Holy Resurrection Monastery (Romanian Greek Catholic) are in the process of moving the monastery from California to Wisconsin…they will be in a small town called St. Nazianz. Here is a link to their web site…

You might have me confused with someone else. I don’t have any PM’s about it in my inbox. I looked up St. Nazianz on the map, but its too far away to be practical:( Anyway, I love the East:)
 
There is one near Cashton, WI, which is a drive south of Eau Claire. I will give you the parish website, I think they have the exact location + directions on there. Hope this helps! God Bless!!!🙂
 
Altoona is pretty much next door to Eau Claire.

La Crosse has the Latin Mass at the Shrine, which has been linked. It also has Latin Mass on First Fridays at the Cathedral. To the best of my knowledge, neither are Tridentine.

The drive from Eau Claire to La Crosse is about 90 minutes, and it’s quite a pretty drive.
