I teach RCIA and have been asked for a list of saints who were removed from the Roman calendar. I used the explanation posted previously about St Christopher and the history of the canonization process, but is there a list of all such persons. Particularly we are asking about St Philomena

I hope you find the following information useful:

Day-by-Day Calendar of Patrons (Old Calendar):
ewtn.com/library/FAMILY/CALENDAR.TXT

Saints of the Roman Calendar (new)
ewtn.com/library/MARY/SAINTROM.htm

Index of Saints: (comprehensive listing)
saintpatrickdc.org/ss/ss-index.htm#intro

Extensive information on St. Philomena is at the following site:
saintphilomena.com/aboutst.htm
(Note: this site has a petition for the re-establishment of the Feast of St. Philomena within the liturgical caldendar of the Church…remember she’s still a saint)
