Is there a mortal sin in any of this?

late at night before going to bed i was browsing the internet…i am purposefully hoping to accidentally click a link that will be to a video or something sexually inappropriate…but at the same time i really am making sure that this also doesnt happen…i know i did not want to lust, know that i didnt lust, and when there were pictures of women in bikins i quickly changed the website in under a second. its like i wanted the thrill of looking this stuff up, without ever wanting to actually find it. i know when i was doing all this i was aware and really not wanting to lust or offend God. i was just so tired and … bored. anyway, is there any mortal sin involved?

i can see there definitely being countless venial sins. just to let you know, i never saw any pornography, no dwelling on images or thoughts. not eveing in the reasoning to accidentally stumbling upon it, never did i entertain impure thoughts. just…thrill seeking i guess…
 
Doesn’t sound like grave matter to me, but I would try to avoid it in the future.

I would suggest talking with your confessor…he will help you figure this one out…

(again not knowing exactly what you mean…)

(you have to judge if it had all three qualities needed for mortal sin…in any case make an act of contrition and seek to continue to follow Jesus…and avoiding such things…going to confession as soon as you can if/when you think you committed a mortal sin…)
 
I can’t tell you how many times I do Internet searches and go to a new website that has women webcams popping up. I wish people would stop doing those. 😦
 
You need to talk to your priest about this. You are inviting the devil to come and tempt you. I reeeeeeeeeely don’t think Jesus would approve.
