Wow, I do not know quite what to do with this statement… On one hand my first reaction is to be stunned and kind of offended because what I read into this statement is that protestants are idiots led astray and being used as pawns in Satan’s plan to steal souls from God. We long to be near God and the thought that we are in ‘cahoots’ whether intentional or not with Satan is something I never want attached to me. How can Satan be using a protestant church to lead people astray when all it does is worship God and long to know Him on a deeper level? The only conspiriters are those who attack God’s children by attacking their heart and soul worship of God and telling them that while they seek God and worship only Him in their minds they are actually pawns of Satan and don’t know God at all.
Do ALL catholics think protestants are idiots or so naive?
On the other hand I remember those who spat on Jesus and His followers. Telling them that they were of Satan and/or evil. Who told them that what they believed about their relationship with God was wrong and disloyal to the very Father they worshipped. Who told them that Christ was evil and long to lead God’s children astray rather than bring them closer. I remember these people who knew in their hearts that they were right and I humbly pray that I stick to the path that God has set me on and that I would follow Him as closely and without fear that the apostles and disciples did so long ago. Thank you for reminding me of the struggles and that even though I do not face half of the pain and danger that those who live in other countries do or that the followers of Jesus faced all those years ago I know that I am on the path that God has designated for me and I need to keep my eyes on Him.
