i Know born again is not the correct word but i could not think what it was.
I note that there seems to be 2 groups the tradional who seem to be the marjority of your members and a group mainly amercian who seem more evangerical than the tradional ones. And who then is holding the correct position. i am just intrested in this because if there is a diffrence then eventually oneside will leave.
There are charismatic Catholics. America does seem to be the primary concentration of not only these but other “modernist” Catholics who seem more evangelical in their worship. So far this hasn’t been a problem. Many parishes make allowance for this by scheduling on or more of their masses as a “folk” mass. The doctrine is still the same. (the catechism is followed) The sacraments are the same. It’s really more of a “style” difference than anything. The ones I have been to tend to have accoustic guitar music for the hymns and a more “youthful” attendance. I think it’s great that people are able to get motivated enough by religion to find acceptable ways to worship that help them to really “get into it”.
As majik275 pointed out, there is no difference in Doctrine, only style.
If anyone leaves Holy Mother Church, it is because of Doctrinal issues and how a particular Doctrine relates to that person. In other words, it’s always some personal thing and a pride issue. The person cannot abide submission to the Magisterium on a point that he thinks he knows more about than The Church.
Pope John Paul II allowed for “style” differences.
Church Doctrine remains, and will always remain, the same.
P.S. Paul, on 9/21, you told me that you needed “a few days” to explain the lds position of: Cain made a deal with the devil and how Cain’s decendents = Blacks.
I’m still waiting for your explaination.
