LOLs :knight2::knight1: Holy War=Crusade=Jihad Does not have to be violent, if we can prevent it.
Perhaps if we did not have trouble with some of people in the SouthWest, we would not currently be having trouble with the Muslim world?

Beam and mote, and all that.
Oh, you mean like…if the extremist terrorist Muslims found out that we ever actually stopped the influx if illlegal aliens, bringing drugs in and taking guns out that eventually get aimed at each other and at our border patrol agents, that they might decide not to don the dynamite diapers, or the C4 shoe soles–or hijack airliners with box cutters? Like that?
Here’s the thing: there is an oft quoted sentence that the best civilizations seem to work with: “your freedom ends where my nose begins.”
The biggest problem is that most of the people who quote this seem to want to expand the nerve endings of their noses far past the point at which their skin meets the sun. It’s amazing how many people think that their noses extend to everything their eyes can see or ears can hear.
It looks to me as if the goals of both extremist Muslims and the politically correct over here have the same goals…if slightly different methods. Everybody wants everybody to abide by 'correct beliefs…" theirs.
I’m absolutely no exception. I would love to see everybody become Mormon. I spent a year and a half of my life being a full time missionary. I think the world would be great if everybody were LDS.
Well, if everybody were a GOOD Mormon, the world would be pretty neat—but in all honesty, the world would be wonderful if everybody were a good Catholic, or a good Baptist, or a good Hindu, or a good Budhist, too. All these belief systems work on the ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ idea.
Ok…blathering…but I"m back now.
OK. I want everybody to be a Mormon. BUT—I want to do that at the point of discussions and free will acceptance of the gospel. Far too many religions (including, I’m afraid, Catholicism in some times in its history) convert people at the point of swords and guns. THAT is the abrogation of 'your freedom ends where my nose begins."
If a Muslim nation wishes to live its religion…no matter how WE think about it…in their own nation, it is their right. If a bunch of Mormon fundamentalists want to be polygamists in a ‘compound,’ …it’s their right. If a bunch of Baptists want to write anti-Mormon books, fine. It is their right to do so. It is equally my right to point out just how insulting, wrong, idiotic, stupid, intolerant, bigoted and screwed up they are for doing so. THAT…is freedom; of religion and speech.
However. When a Muslim decides to blow people up because his God told him to, suddenly he is messing with my nose. When that fundamentalist blocks the path to the Temple so that I have to dodge them or push past them to enter, they have reached my nose.
My view on religious freedom is completely encompassed by the LDS 11th article of faith…the only one that begins with ‘we claim,’ rather than 'we believe." “We claim the rprivilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and all all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.”
Period.
