Thank you for your response!You need to learn more about HPV and worry less about your prospects for marriage.
A) some ridiculously high percentage of women under the age of 65 have contracted HPV at some point in their lives. (80% seems to stick in my mind).
B) you can catch it whether or not you have sex.
C) it’s not a big deal because of the 20-some strains, only two or three MAY lead to cancer. In other words, your chances of getting seriously sick from it are very, very slim.
D) regular Pap tests will identify any pre-cancerous cells. Your doctor can remove them quite easily. It is the only cancer that is 100% curable provided it is caught in the early stages. Cervical cancer is very slow to develop (can take years) so it’s almost always caught in time.
E) HPV will have essentially no serious health consequences for your husband.
F) I know two women who have undergone the procedure to remove suspected pre-cancerous cells and have not had any subsequent problems in the past 20+ years.
G) God won’t punish you for having sinned and reconciled with him. HPV is not God’s revenge.
