The only sin God won’t forgive is the sin of not asking for forgiveness. No matter what you do, if you’re sorry and ask for forgiveness, He will forgive you.

Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is only unforgivable when you aren’t repentant and you aren’t willing to accept forgiveness. Apparently. I remember hearing that somewhere.

Will god forgive my nasty thoughts about him and Jesus:confounded:😪

Yes, of course! God will forgive, if you ask and resolve to stop. God will always forgive those who ask. It seems like, from your previous thread, you may have signs of OCD. Don’t worry too much about thoughts that you don’t invite and are intrusive, but if they worry you then there’s no shame in confession.

I feel like I think these thoughts on purposes ? Is this a ocd symptoms

Srry how I can I be close to god, and feel like he loves me and cares about me!?

Yeah, just what Brittany said. Everybody goes through “dark” periods and their feeling of proximity to God waxes and wanes, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re close to, and loved by, God. You might want to see a psychiatrist, and also see a priest. I’ll pray for you.

Thank you! I have been having these thoughts for 4 months and I felt that god hates me and won’t forgive me, but thanks to u I know I can be forgiven for these thoughts! Thank u!!!

As mentioned, for the intrusive thoughts it will probably be a good idea to talk to a priest for advice, and likely a doctor as well especially going by your other topic a couple days ago. Thoughts that you don’t choose and don’t consent to aren’t sins, but they do cause much undue stress.

On forgiveness, any sin you are sorry for, turn away from and repent of in confession, God will forgive.

And as for getting closer to God… same as above pretty much. Go to Mass often (each Sunday is mandatory, but more is still encouraged), receive the sacraments (go to confession especially when in mortal sin, and then once forgiven receive our Lord in the Eucharist at Mass), think about our Lord’s sacrifice for us, pray often, ask Mary and the saints for their prayers, and so on. When you pray, you can recite prayers but just talking to God is great as well, ideally both.

One thing I’ve found helpful is to focus on seeing God’s love in everyday life. I used to get frustrated that God didn’t just reveal Himself to me with a dream or a booming voice from the clouds, but then I realized I was kind of missing the point, that I had my idea of what I wanted and really wasn’t being open to His will.

I’m just waiting right now cause I have these thoughts everyday, and when these thoughts are gone I will go confess cause I don’t want to commit this sin again.

Go to confession as soon as you can. Tell the priest that they’re intrusive and that they may happen again, and see what he says. Don’t postpone confession, though.

Okay thank u when I feel like god won’t forgive me what should I do cause I spend my time in the internet searching up “will god forgive me” and I’m tired of doing it cause I’m all ways on my phone.emphasized text

Pray. Get on your knees and talk to God, ask Him to help you get the thoughts out of your head. Tell Him that you love Him and don’t want the thoughts there. Pray for saintly intercession too.

If you repent. Truly in your heart and with your mouth ask for forgiveness

Talk with a priest. You didn’t seem to consent to thinking them, so it would seem that it isn’t. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to discuss this with a priest.
