My Pastor was very instrumental in my return to the Church about 4 years ago. my first Confession after my return was extremely cathartic.
Over the past few years I go about every 6 months. I know that I need to go and it gives me the Grace I need to do my best not to sin. I am truly comfortable in confession. I know that no matter what I say, my confessor has heard it before.
I have become more active in my Church. I chair a ministry and am involved with a few other ministries.
my question is- is it difficult/uncomfortable for a Priest/Pastor to hear confession of people that he knows and who he interacts with more like a work environment?
I truly have no concerns, yet, I would never want him to feel uncomfortable. There is another Parish close by so it would not be a burden to go somewhere else

I would say that most priests are fine hearing confessions of people they know. We understand that no one is perfect and every person has his or her own particular weaknesses and temptations. Its usually more a matter of the penitent not feeling comfortable confessing to a priest they know.
However, the one caveat I would throw out there is that if someone is an employee of the parish and the confession is work related that they should probably go to another priest than their boss.
