Is there hope for mercy after death?

I looked for this question to see if it was answered already but couldn’t find it.

My brother asked, can you have a change of heart after you die so that even atheists who find out the truth about God after they die have hope?

My answer is no, but I would to say more than that. I just don’t know what else to say.

I would introduce him to the Divine Mercy devotion. We need to seek the Lord’s mercy while we can. After we die, it is too late.
