Is there no difference between experiential and theoretical knowledge in God?

We all have theoretical knowledge but that knowledge doesn’t become experiential knowledge until we put it into practice. However, with God he sees everything all at the same time including past, present and future events. So his theoretical knowledge and experiential knowledge are seen to him all at the same time. This would mean, for instance, the experiential knowledge gained through creating the world would have been known to him throughout all eternity. So that theoretical knowledge is really the same as experiential knowledge for him?

God has only actual knowledge. God does not “propose” actions or “learn” from them, as we do.

Hi Carl,

God is one simple eternal act. He knows everything in Himself for all eternity.

Also, God knows everything about created things or persons, but he cannot experience whatever implies materiality. For example, he knows all about pain, but he cannot experience it. He does not have emotions, which have organic implications. He is love itself, but his love is infinite and totally different from ours, having its source in the life of the Trinity.

God does not need theoretical knowledge or experiential knowledge since He is All Knowing. However this may be God will lower Himself to the experiences of us His chosen. He delights in our experiences and wants us to share these with Him. In an extraordinary manner Jesus will often extend His life and ears to us when we go to Him as if He never heard of what we discovered as for the first time. God will often put away what He knows so that you can relay to Him what you know. Surprisingly He will never make you think He knows better but He delights in what any of His children are doing or thinking or saying. We can see this in the Diary of St. Maria Faustina when she writes often about her experiences with the Lord Jesus and often commented when she was expressing herself to Him it looked like to her He was showing to her His complete interest as if He had never heard of this before. God knows everything but He will put away His all knowing knowledge for you when you wish to approach Him. You are a very important individual and so you are treated to be such as one.
