Is there really going to be a "rapture"?

I would really like to know the Catholic Church’s stand on the “rapture.” We hear so much about it and i have been doing research in the Bible on this. Of course I do believe you can put a slant on anything to read into it whatever you want to read.
But I amoung many are very puzzled about this and would really like an answer.
