Is there salvation for those who commit suicide?

I was told by someone suicide is the greatest sin of all, that it is unforgivable and leads you straight to hell, whereas I thought God judges each individual case ,and the reasons and emotional state involved in doing so, such as if you did it to get “back” at someone, or to set them up for your “murder” it would be a mortal sin, but if you lost your entire family and just couldn’t go on it would be understandable and forgiven.Can one commit suicide and still go to heaven?
