I am in a discussion on another board with a Protestant and we are discussing transubstantiation based on John 6. His beef is that if Jesus was speaking literally, then only Catholics could be saved and this he cannot accept. I cannot accept it either, but Jesus said,“Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” What does this mean and how can I explain it to my friend on the other board?
