OTOH, if I am using a hammer and hit my hand and yell my own name, I am not swearing but expressing frustration with myself. So I suppose Jesus could have hit his finger and yelled “Jesus Christ” and he would not have been using the Lord’s name in vain.

I had always wondered if we are supposed to take some message out of Jesus being a carpenter.

carpentry gives us shelter and also furniture for comfort.

Not to mention the idea of building…particularly building a Church, in one way or another. The Cross was also the product of woodworking.
