Ok,

You have a friend who earns more than you - they know this. You go for dinner (even for their birthday) and they pay - for everyone! When you go for drinks they always buy more than their fair share of rounds and at christmas / birthdays etc they spend more than the ‘allotted’ amount.

This friend doesnt go on about money all the time but it is well known that they have it - cars/houses/clothes/holidays etc.

Now would you be)

A. Offended - why should they assume you cant pay your own way?

B. Its a bit annoying but hey who claims about a free lunch

C. Their choose I dont care

D. Other.

Just Wondered!

Mornin’…I picked “D” and here’s why…your friend is generous but doesn’t brag about it or about money in general…I hope I would be grateful and try not to abuse/misuse this persons generous nature.Option “C” was tempting to choose but for the "I don’t care"part.Just a little pet peeve of mine…Did you mean “I don’t MIND”? or I simply don’t care…doesn’t mean nothing to me…big fat deal…no skin off my nose…

Other - I’d be happy that my friend was generous and willing to share his financial blessings with me. If they were doing it to show off it would be another story. But since they are not the type to throw money around I wouldn’t mind. 😃

D - Other, grateful
Okay I agreed with all the other posters who chose D.

(please note I am using he/him/his as a general term - I don’t know if this friend is a man or a woman so could be either)
Something to think about and hard to do, consider your gracious acceptance of his gifts and “paying for” as your gift to him. Some people are just generous and have a need so to speak to be that way, thank them, do what you can afford and be grateful for such a friend who doesn’t “rub your nose” in the fact that he makes more than you do.

Chose D. Personally, that is the position I would like to be in–financially comfortable enough to give family and friends a good time without making them worry about affording it. 👍 Sounds like you have a truly generous friend! 👍
