****:bible1:
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster
to bring us unto
**Christ, **
that we might be justified by faith. - Galatians 3:24
+There is no tension between the law and the Gospel in Catholicism . . .
:bible1: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. - Galatians 3:25-27
:bible1: (Jesus speaking) Think not that *I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. *** - Matthew 5:17
It isn’t that we adhere to Mosaic law, but parts of that remain. Over the milennia, Canon Law has been “updated” to reflect biblical interpretation. It is a slow, but ongoing process.
