Is there truly an unforgiveable sin?

I was horrified when an atheist friend of mine stated that he had 'read on UTUBE" that there was a passage in the Bible that definitively stated that HE was going to Hell for sure, Mark 3:29. I looked it up and was shocked. I don’t remember ever having heard or read this before. Lacking a proper Catholic version at work I looked up the pasage on line (New Amercian version, sorry)

but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin "–

I thought there was no sin that was unforgiveable. Explain if you can, please!
