Is This A Good Christian?

I am posting some threads in a non catholic forum and it really made me sad that even my name was being judged. My name in that forum is viktor krum. W all know that it is a fictitious character of harry potter, so what? It doesn’t affect my faith.

I am really bothered because they relating my name to the practice of the CC. They say that my name is related to the “MASS as a form of WITHCHCRAFT”

Is that a good practice of christian? to judge someone because of his name? To call the Holy Mass as a withchcraft because of my name?
 
Maybe leave the Lions den’s to Daniel, what fruit do you expect from anti-Catholics.
Spend your time surrounded by uplifting experiences and sites rather than allowing yourself to be attacked over your name.

Hmmm…how would they know what that name was…unless they had been reading books about witchcraft themselves.
 
No, they are not good Christians.

I find it incredible that they think that anyone would want to be a “Christian” like them after reading their hate-filled and mean-spirited posts.

Wow. A quote about how bad judgement is followed by judgement of the previous judges. I’m going to have to judge that as hypocritical.

Are you talking about the “former Catholics for Christ” board? I wouldn’t even think another minute about it. I also would suggest not posting there anymore. It’s spiritually damaging, IMHO. They banned me without warning for posting quotes from the early Church Fathers explicitly describing the doctrine of the Real Presence. Their forum is not looking for truth. They are a forum to discuss amongst themselves why they left the Church. One of the moderators told me he was a victim of priest abuse. They are also a very small forum. The only ex-Catholic posters that I have seen there are 4 moderators, 1 administrator and 1regular member. You did your best over there in a very hostile environment! Bless you for caring enough to try. I would say, just shake the dust off and move on.

I didn’t mention the name of that forum just to prevent further debate in here, but now you’ve mentioned it so i guess, thats it.

They act like the pharisees who judged and persecute Jesus during His time. Very sad that they lead others to darkness.

Im sorry Kevan! I don’t mean to say bad things to all the pharisees. There were also good pharisees but i am more on to those obvious attackers of Jesus.

I have nothing against Judaism, but i just site the examples of the persecutors of Christ.

Please don’t take it as an attack to the Jews for even Jesus was also a Jew.

I don’t think that post was hypocritical. I think what was meant was that statements like that are to be expected from anti-Catholics…and they are. To say that anti-Catholics are just that is not hypocritical, but a simple statement of fact.

I am really intrigue in that forum if Why my post on sola scriptura and sola fide is not answered by those anti catholics?

If you post to defend the CC they will answer it in a flash. now that i ask them about the sola’s they didn’t dare to touch that topic.

No, it isn’t, and so please accept my apologies for their actions.

You can perhaps take heart from the consideration that those actions most likely stemmed from fears and misconceptions. After all, God knows you better than anyone else ever can, and God loves you. Anyone who has a less-positive opinion of you is working from incomplete data.

When I say that comparing the unkind anticatholics to Pharisees was unfair to the Pharisees, it means that the anticatholics are so bad, they make Pharisees look good by comparison.

So I was agreeing with you. You said nothing wrong. The Pharisees did persecute Jesus and plot his death, and there’s nothing wrong with saying so clearly. The only Jewish people who could take offense at that would be any who believe that the Pharisees were right to plot murder.

Hmmm, I failed to see where the state of someone’s soul was judged. Hmmm. I saw statements and actions being objectively judged in comparison to Traditional Chistian morality. State of souls? Nope.

I am starting to laugh at those attackers. I don’t want to be mean but if they could have defended seriously then i will not laugh at them.
  1. They agreed that sola scriptura and sola fide was never on the original Greek text and it is not even in the Bible. (only in lutheran bible). Still they insist that faith alone can save them even without practicing it (as said about helping the poor and judging others)
  2. They are insisting that catholics are idolater though they already define idolatry as worship of idols. And they knew already that we do not worship images. but still they insist that we worship images.
  3. They put the hope of the poor to Christ instead of helping them. This in regards to their accusations about Mother Theresa, that she maltreated choldrens.
  4. They are attacking the word “them” in the verse “and jesus speak to THEM” ( this is the verse were Jesus taught the eating of His Flesh and Drinking Blood)
instead posting these lines
“THEM” being “BELIEVERS IN HIM”. Has nothing to do with a
band of CULTIST’S who believe their CULT holds the “keys” to eternal life, which they do not. A CULT which prays to “the queen of heaven” which GOD hates.
