A pair of parents are retiring to FL and they told their sons that they can have anything they want from their old house before they move. One son is greedy, everything the other son says he wants the greedy one says he can’t have it, because he needs it and the greedy one immediately takes it to store in his shed. Well the son who is not greedy is saying he wants the most worn out, gross possible stuff possible like an old toliet in the their parents shed at their house or an rusted out wheel barrel. In fact, he has been hauling his junk over to put in their garage for the greedy son to take – as has been neighbors hauling their junk over too.
And, the greedy one grabs whatever the other son says he wants like it is a treasure and hauls it back to his place to store in a shed. This has gotten so bad that the greedy son has built a third shed. The parents are watching this in amusment. There really is nothing the non-greedy son really wants at this point. There were a few things at first like his old dresser from his old room he wanted, but the greedy son snached it away like a theift in the night. Anyways, the poor wife of the greedy son, finally got fed up when that thrid shed got almost full (yes, her husband was talking about building a fourth shed ) and is asking the parents to put a stop to this because she doesn’t want him hauling home any more junk home. But, the parents and the non-greedy son are having a ball with this to see what junk the greedy son will store away in his back yard.
So, are the parents and the non-greedy son sinning, by playing this game?
Yes, they are putting a stop to it. The greedy son got mad and is going out of town for the weekend. So, their plans are to have Salvation Army and Purple Heart come in this weekend to remove anything that the parents are not taking with them to FL. Their house is being sold to their daughter on land contract.
This family is from my old neighborhood in Inkster. I am good friends with the non-greedy son. My advice to them was to put a stop to it for the sake of their daughter in law.
